November 11th 2011 what a memorable date, normally it takes me about two weeks to blog a wedding because of the workload I have however I couldn’t resist with this one to get it up straight away, I first met our beautiful bride in the beginning of the year, I immediately fell in love with Maireads accent Irish sounded so lovely, we sat and discussed her day however I was yet to meet the groom as I think she came straight from work, I am always nervous when this happens as I like to have a meeting with both of them , anyway she booked me on the spot,
As the wedding grew near she came back to the studio for her final appointment and she bought Mark with her , he informed me he hates getting his photo taken , I can totally relate to this as I don’t feel I take the best photo’s of myself funny that , considering I am a wedding photographer , anyway I assured him I could make him feel comfortable on the day and it wouldn’t be problem,
Finally the day arrived I took along my wonderful Husband Leigh to second shoot with me, its great when we work together sometimes lol . We arrived at the brides house early to find everyone in a flurry and getting organized. Mairead has alot of friends from overseas that flew in to surprise her what a wonderful gift , so we got to meet everyone , the girls were in lilac dress’s and Maireads dress was to die for , those who know me know that I love the big gowns and hers was sensational as you’ll see in the images, after spending about an hour there Leigh and I went to the St Stephens Cathedral to meet with Mark and the boys ,
Mark was nervous at first wedding photo’s was something he wasn’t keen on but I was able to break through that and get some fantastic candid shots of him and the boys , 1.30 rolled up and the bride arrived in this awesome stretch Limo, she looked so radiant and beautiful,
This is probably my favorite time of the day when they walk down the isle, Marks face said it all, wow you could feel the emotion between the two of them, I so love wedding photography, after we finished the service we all headed over to one of my favorite spots the powerhouse and spent an hour or so getting some really beautiful shots of all the bridal party , Brisbane has some of the greatest locations for wedding photography.
finishing up around 4.30 we left for Dockside where Mairead and Marks reception was, there were so many guests outside that we decided to stay and photograph the bag piper who was announcing them into their reception the sound was incredible, congrats to both of them and thank you for allowing us to be part of your special day.
